Week 6 Famous Last words

This week was definitely better in terms of classes and projects than previous weeks. I learned so much and truly think I have gotten better at writing. The corrections and revisions for our portfolio stories that I have been making with professor’s help has helped me learn a lot. There were few of the grammar mistakes I made that I didn’t even know about. I did not know that vocative needs a comma both before and after when it's inside a sentence. So far the week has been great. I have enjoyed all the readings. My favorite part was listening to Narayana’s secret when I was doing the extra credit reading assignment. There were so many things that touched my heart. I listened to it twice. The first time was for my post and I was mostly thinking about what to write about it and taking notes. While taking notes, there we things I wanted to listen to again. This story is filled with so many good quotes and lesson to live life with Hinduism. The Character of Narad led to his restless life and he became the cause of anger.  I listened to it again after completing my post. The second time was mostly for my sake. Even though I am a Hindu, there are so many things I am getting to learn about Hinduism in this class and am slowly falling in love with Hinduism and learning more about it.

Talking more about classes, my other major MIS classes has started to pick up. The assignments, quizzes and exams are lining up and it has started to get crazy. I am thankful to have so many friends taking same classes so we can group up and study together. I have 4 exams in a row in two weeks and preparing for that has been a task.

Week 4: Famous Last Words

This week has been so much fun and stressful at the same time.  Me, and my couple of other girlfriends planned a spring break trip to Florida, which I am so excited about! We used this app called ‘Furkot’ to plan our Road trip. Thinking about all the stops and plans we have made to stop while driving down there has been very exciting. I cannot wait to come back and share the stories here in the blog.

Week 3 Famous Last Words

This week has not been crazy busy. I have been trying to stay more organized this semester and have been updating my calendar using a planner. Next week is going to be crazy busy and the real struggle starts. I am ready for the challenge though. I am planning ahead like I always do. I do by reading and write notes for all the assignment on a word document ahead of time and post it all at once. I am planning to continue to do so as it has been working out really well for me.

My favorite part of this weeks reading is when I read Hanuman’s story. Even though the ending was sad where Sita struggled again. I loved the part where hanuman supported Rama and destroyed Lanka. There are a lot of things I learned this week, which I have posted on my reading diary posts. I look forward to reading more exciting stories.

Famous Last Words: Week 2

This week went really smoothly for me. I was well prepared and worked ahead at the beginning of the class. I had all the assignments done and saved it as a word document file at the beginning. The only thing left to do with those assignments was proofreading and checking I had all the requirements fulfilled so I could post the blog posts right away. The best part about the reading assignments were the reading guides prepared for us.

I particularly enjoyed reading about Ram and Sita and their victory over Ravana. I also wrote a bedtime story for my storytelling assignment. I enjoyed every moment of it. I literally was imagining myself telling the story to my niece while writing the story. It was simple and easy to follow and covered most of the important mements and incidents. I also eliminated the negative part of the story where there is a lot of killing going on. I changed the ending where instead of Ravana’s death, he lives and turns into this wise man because of Rama so that the kids listening to the story are kept away from the fact that evil should always die.

Talking more about my other classes, I have been enjoying my Legal studies class so far. I have heard that the class is hard by my friends who previously took it. However, the fact that we get to read various criminal cases and get to talk about is what I love about this class. But then again, it is just the second week of classes. I will get to learn more about the class and am genuinely hoping it is not going to get hard and will love it till the end.

I have personally learned a lot just from this class and have seen a tremendous improvement in my reading and writing skills to be specific.

Famous Last Words

It has been a while since I've taken a class that involves writing. All my MIS classes are about working with various software and presentations and there is no much writing involved. It is kind of surprising to me looking at how involved I am while writing blogs for this class. It is like I am liking to write all over again. I have learned so much in just one week. I have had time to reflect on my childhood memories writing about blog post about Rama and Sita. I cannot wait to learn more and explore my writing skills.

I really enjoyed reading different blog posts written by students that were posted at
the end of all the assignment descriptions. It was just nice to see what people think and all the insights they shared on the common topics we were assigned. This week has given a good idea of what the rest of my semester is going to look like and I think we all will enjoy this great way of interacting with each other through blogs. The way class is structured is great as there going to be a lot of exciting things to read and write.

I enjoyed writing the very first post which was about my favorite place. I just like talking about my country. While writing that post I had time to think about places I have been too. I love traveling and writing that post made me want to think about places I wanna go. I want to travel more and explore more. I truly believe that traveling broadens one's mind. I am taking 6 classes this semester and writing and reading for this class is like a break for me as all my other classes are very stressful. Overall, I am excited about coming weeks and all the readings.
