Week 4 Extra Credit Reading: Inavat part A

The story is about goodness and truth. it has 10 different stories that describes all the good characters that Buddha is. I really felt sorry for the monkeys who were guarding the fruits but It was happy to read about the chief who saved all the monkeys putting his life at risk and eventually the chief dies. I love dogs and the story of dogs was the one that I really enjoyed reading. I like how the story starts with a rain and then the royal dog destroys the leather of the royal chariot. I also liked the fact that the chief of the city dog walked into the palace to confront the king about the real guilty dogs. The way the chief worked out to prove that the royal dog was the guilty one was very clever. I could see the chief as a clever, smart, good looking and a brave dog. It was very interesting to read the first paragraph of the empty lake. The great king fish with so much golden and the king being the star for all the fish. This a short and simple story that relates the fish with some king of amazing power to talk to the rain and thunder. It was very relieving to read that the lake was filled and they all lived happily ever after.

Week 4 Reading Diary: Ramayana

This week’s reading diary for Ramayana had a different type of storytelling styles. I find it more descriptive than the one that we read for week 2 and 3. I find it more descriptive for the part where it describes each situation and the scene. The scheming of Kaikeyi is very descriptive too. In this reading it talks about the numerous attempt that Manthara took to make Kaikeyi go against Dashratha for making Rama the king. The other interesting part is the one where Ravana comes to steal Sita. The book describes about the forest where the trees stayed still, the wind dropped and the Godaveri flowed more slowly for fear when Ravana disguised as a yogi. Sita not knowing the truth of the yogi gave him food and water. Ravana then goes on to offer Sita palaces, servants and gardens and then when Sita refuses it he changes to his original face and drags sita into his golden ass-drawn car and vanishes in the sky. Rama blames Lakshmana for Sita being abducted by Ravana. Then the search for Sita begins and then they find out that Sita has asked help with the great vulture Jatayu . Jatayu tries to help sita but then was not able to fight back with Ravana. Jatayu informs Rama about where Ravana was heading with sita. Brahma rejoice seeing Sita being taken by Ravana, because it was theirs plan to destroy Ravana. Ram and Lakshmana meets hanuman, who then visits Lanka to see what sita is doing.

Week 3 Tech Tip: Weather Widget

For my 3rd Tech tip, I decided to add a weather widget on my blog. It is at the very bottom of singhshristi. I simply went to the Weather Underground Sticker website and copied the html code. I then added a gadget by going to the design view under "Add a gadget". Once I pasted the html code, it appeared on my blog.

Week 3 Review

I personally liked the Words of Wisdom post. I am surprised I missed it again even though I am always looking for motivation in this class. The post is just a simple picture but with some really inspirational words written on it. I truly agree that Knowledge rots when it is hidden away, it grows when it is shared publicly.  Have always believed that when you share things you’ve learned, you grow and get better. It gives me this satisfaction that I cannot explain when I share things I learn. The fact that some people who know and have knowledge about certain things are not willing help people out in need when they clearly can makes me really mad. You do not loose anything when you share knowledge and it might mean nothing to you but might mean everything to them.

Week 3 Famous Last Words

This week has not been crazy busy. I have been trying to stay more organized this semester and have been updating my calendar using a planner. Next week is going to be crazy busy and the real struggle starts. I am ready for the challenge though. I am planning ahead like I always do. I do by reading and write notes for all the assignment on a word document ahead of time and post it all at once. I am planning to continue to do so as it has been working out really well for me.

My favorite part of this weeks reading is when I read Hanuman’s story. Even though the ending was sad where Sita struggled again. I loved the part where hanuman supported Rama and destroyed Lanka. There are a lot of things I learned this week, which I have posted on my reading diary posts. I look forward to reading more exciting stories.

Week 3 Learning Challenges: Health and happiness

Good health and happiness is something I have been working on for a while now. I think it is very important in life to be healthy and happy. Knowing that people care about you, eating healthy and just appreciating life is very important in life to be happy and healthy. I have been working very hard this semester in this field. Staying motivated can be challenging at time but knowing what you want is life is very important. I try to eat healthy everyday by cooking my own food. I use social media and watch YouTube videos, pinterest and try different healthy food whenever I can find some spare time. Doing a quick DIY during your study breaks can be amazingly helpful. As simple as it sounds staying happy and most importantly healthy is very challenging.
